FRANKFURT - Lufthansa pilots are set to continue their strike over salaries on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Vereinigung Cockpit pilots' union says.
Their four-day strike officially ended on Sunday, but the previous days' labour action was still causing cancellations.
On Friday, the union rejected a new wage offer in its long-running dispute with Lufthansa, but said that an ongoing strike would not continue into Sunday.
The offer from the management of Germany's biggest carrier had foreseen a 4.4-per-cent salary increase and a one-time payout equivalent to 1.8 month's salary.
The pilots' union has demanded a backdated 22-per-cent wage hike over five years up until April 2017. (dpa) (hlz/hlz)
