Indonesia Port Corporation (IPC) / PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) and PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) signed a Head of Agreement (HoA) for the Development of Coal Transportation and / or Other Commodities Through Rivers and Ports in South Sumatra.
The signing of the HoA, which is valid for two years, was carried out by Director of Transformation and Business Development of IPC Ogi Rulino and Director of Business Development of PTBA Fuad I. Z. Fachroeddin on Friday (11/9).
This synergy is one of IPC and PTBA's efforts to succeed and build the economy of South Sumatra as a national energy barn by optimizing the development of coal transportation.
This synergy between IPC and PTBA is not the first time. IPC through its Palembang Port Branch has served PTBA's coal barge guide services. From January to August 2020, there were 437 coal barges that have been served.
"We will provide sea transportation services in the development of coal transportation and other commodities to provide added value to the economy of South Sumatra," Ogi said.
Starting in the fourth quarter of 2020, the Palembang Port Branch also plans to handle loading and unloading of coal at PTBA's grandson company, PT Penajam International Terminal in Tanjung Kampeh Strait, Bangka Strait, South Sumatra. (hlz/hlz)
